Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria are drug prevention Austria expanding outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators through public information points and event-based activities. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide clear information on drug risks, with particular attention to cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. Organisers say, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European institutions and the United Nations, noted: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—supporting both community well-being and European civic values.”
